Done in a Day
In collaboration with Worcester area organizations and agencies, the JLW participates regularly in Done-in-a-Day
projects that benfit from volunteer efforts and funding.
JLW members
take action in many ways - providing meals to the homeless, walking
or biking for a cause, painting houses, refurnishing rooms, cleaning up the community, teaching children about the value of nutrition & exercise, harvesting food for local food banks and more.
What is Done in a Day?

Many often ask what "done in a day" means and how can they get involved. Done-In-A-Day provides a one-day response to a need within our community. The Junior League of Worcester provides volunteer support for community projects that can be accomplished in a one-time evening or weekend effort. When nonprofit organizations are limited in achieving their goals because of lack of volunteers, DIAD can provide a dedicated group of JLW volunteers to work on one-day projects. All projects will meet a community need within Worcester County
DIAD is a favorite among league members as it provides a great opportunity for members to get their children, families and friends involved. Many members wishing to set an example for their children to get involved in the community, bring them to various DIAD opportunities as a fun and organized way to participate in community service.
